Banks all over the
world use security fog protection
PCs, TV screens and furniture and fittings are the
preferred targets of burglars in banks. The party is over in a
hurry when the fog rolls in and shuts the place
down.
The most serious cases are ram raids where the cash
machine is pulled out with e.g. a loader tractor. If the bank
has security fog protection, however, it is impossible for
burglars to finish the job.
Not only are they blinded by the fog, it also attracts so much
attention that the burglars quickly run off.
The above photo shows two fog cannons on the walls aimed at the
deposit box and cash machine as well as the coin sorting
machine and flat screen TVs.
Protecting cash point machines and
ATMs
PROTECT's fog cannons are installed in a large number of banks
in the UK, Denmark and across the world. Abroad it is ATM
and cash point machines in particular that are protected by fog
(the little rooms where you can withdraw cash outside normal bank
hours).
Cash machines are not only the object of burglaries - vandalism is
also a problem. Security fog protection renders both crimes
impossible.
Protection of money transport
Our Fog Cannons are also installed in the ramp areas where the
armoured vehicles dock to unload the banks' takings for safe
keeping behind concrete and iron.
The weakest point is when the money is moved from the van into
safety. Abroad, these ramp areas are often the scene of serious
attacks and robberies. By activating a Fog Cannon in case of
unwanted visitors, the staff can withdraw into the building
along with the money under the cover of the fog.
